Privacy Policy
JourneyWorthy ("the app") is a study tool for the Washington journey-level plumber examination, published by JourneyWorthy. This policy covers both the app and this website.
The app — what data it handles
- Study progress (cards reviewed, self-ratings, quiz and exam-simulator results, streak, settings) is stored only on your device. It never leaves your phone, and we cannot see it.
- Question reports you flag in the app are stored on your device. If you choose "Send your reports," the app opens your email application with the report text pre-filled — nothing is sent unless you send it.
- Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive no payment details. Your purchase entitlement is stored on your device and with your Apple/Google account per their terms.
- Restoring access on another device (when enabled): to bring your 4-month access to a new device, a small record (your access-expiry date) is saved to your own iCloud on iOS, or read from your Google Play purchase history on Android. It stays within your Apple/Google account — we never receive it.
The app — what we do NOT do
- No personal information is collected, transmitted, or sold.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- No account creation; nothing to delete on our servers, because nothing is stored there.
This website
- Launch-notification form: if you submit your email address, it is stored by our hosting provider (Netlify) solely so we can send you one launch announcement. We don't add you to any list or share the address. Want it removed? Email us and it's gone.
- Hosting logs: like nearly every website, our host may keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type) for security and operations. We run no analytics or advertising scripts on this site.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may see your browser's request per Google's privacy policy.
Data deletion
Deleting the app deletes all study data. Purchase records remain with Apple/Google per their policies and can be restored via "Restore purchase." For the website's launch-notification email, contact us and we'll delete it.
Children
The app is a professional exam-prep tool rated 4+/Everyone; it collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future feature ever changes any of the above (for example, optional AI explanations processed by a server), this policy will be updated first, and any such feature will be clearly optional.
Trademarks & affiliation
JourneyWorthy is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by IAPMO, the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), or PSI. "Uniform Plumbing Code" and "UPC" are trademarks of IAPMO; other code, agency, and exam names are used for identification only. Always confirm the current exam edition, fees, and eligibility with L&I and PSI.
